Since its inception in 1986, Dollywood has been committed to creating family-friendly experiences through thrilling rides, captivating shows, delicious food, and endless entertainment. The upcoming 40th anniversary celebrations will span across various seasonal festivals, each offering unique experiences. A new daily opening ceremony will kick off every operating day in 2025, setting the tone for an exciting season. One of the highlights will be a special show debuting on Memorial Day weekend, which will showcase memorable moments from beloved performances throughout Dollywood’s history. Additionally, a spectacular drone and fireworks display will light up the sky during the Smoky Mountain Summer Celebration, honoring four decades of fun and adventure.

Beyond these major events, several permanent additions will enhance the visitor experience. The Imagination Playhouse, featuring plays inspired by books from Dolly’s Imagination Library, will become a year-round attraction. Character meet-and-greets will also be available during the summer festival, providing guests with opportunities to interact with their favorite characters. Furthermore, "Heartsong: The Movie" will be remastered and moved to Dreamsong Theater as part of The Dolly Parton Experience, running alongside "Heidi Parton’s Kin & Friends."

The Country Fair area will undergo a vibrant transformation, introducing fresh decorations and themes. During the Harvest Festival, it will transform into "Candy Corn Country," complete with whimsical corn-themed decorations.
